About the Position: This position is located in a hospital or clinic setting at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, VA and is responsible for concurrent review of inpatient health care services for medical necessity, cost effectiveness and quality of care indicators, through the examination of admissions.
What You'll Do
- →Coordinate and integrates the implementation, monitoring and reporting of inpatient data collection.
- →Verify and conduct quality assurance on all inpatient dispositions, transfer to other wards and work to resolve all identified deficiencies in data quality.
- →Generate all inpatient daily reports on admissions, discharges, census and occupied bed days maintained.
- →Provide technical consultation and maintain a close liaison with several departments.
- →Conduct qualitative audits of the inpatient medical records for compliance with the Joint Commission.
