About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Watervliet Arsenal is an Army-owned and operated manufacturing center located in New York. It is the oldest, continuously active arsenal in the United States having begun operations in 1813.
What You'll Do
- →Develops the General Quality Assurance Program for the Directorate as well as Quality Assurance Programs for each of the specifically assigned mission or non-mission items, which include complete cannon assemblies or other complete items.
- →Recommends changes in production methods to improve the productivity of quality material.
- →Provides a central point of coordination between producer and customer for questions of product acceptability and prevention of defects.
- →Identifies causes of deficiencies to initiate corrective action.
- →Modifies Quality Assurance Programs to accommodate design changes.
- →Coordinates with inspection personnel to explain quality requirements and ensure attainment of quality objectives.
