About the Role
The primary purpose of this position is to serve organizationally as a Digital Communications Specialist who is responsible for drafting and executing modern and engaging content for DOJ's digital communications programs within guidelines and policies as determined by the Chief Digital Communications Officer. This announcement is open to current or former federal employees and specific hiring authorities.
What You'll Do
- →The duties and responsibilities for a GS-1035-Public Affairs Specialist-11 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Assists the Chief Digital Communications Officer with planning social media strategies and content to communicate Department of Justice communication focus areas and priorities.
- →Plans and creates multimedia content using graphic design, photo manipulation, and video editing software and techniques.
- →Assists with providing social media training to DOJ-wide public affairs officers and DOJ senior leadership as needed.
- →Researches new and innovative tools, programs, systems, software, services, and social media industry trends to maintain the Office's currency and relevance with social media efforts and strategies.
- →Analyzes and monitors social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of content and engagement strategies, making data-driven adjustments to optimize audience reach and impact.

- ✓Department of Education, in order for it to be creditable towards your qualifications.

- ✓You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in a conventional U.S. education program.
