This position is part of the Agency Support Operations, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.
What You'll Do
- →Performs property disposal functions involving receipt, inspection, temporary storage, reissue, sale, transfer, recycling, and final disposition of surplus/excess Government property.
- →Maintains listings of returned assets and determines if spare or replacement equipment parts are in stock and should be included within disposals.
- →Prepares reports identifying unserviceable property and recommends appropriate disposal methods in accordance with applicable regulations and environmental requirements.
- →Maintains automated inventory disposal records and prepares statistical and financial reports documenting surplus property transactions and disposition activities.
- →Identifies Government property through nomenclature, part numbers, serial numbers, and/or manufacturer data plates to ensure accurate accountability.
- →Identifies hazardous materials and hazardous waste, ensuring proper segregation, labeling, storage, documentation, and timely disposal in accordance with environmental and safety regulations.

- ✓Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for this grade level.
