The Program Support Assistant (OA) serves as the Customer Service, Work Order Clerk in the Engineering Service. The incumbent will provide administrative support and maintain physical files and/or electronic files and functions as the liaison between the facility staff and service staff, maintains billing records; prepares required budgetary documents for the service, enters appropriate billing information into an Access database for internal tracking purposes etc.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include but are not limited to: Performs computer operations with skill and knowledge and executes, stores and retrieves documents from different systems.
- →Functions independently once tasks have been assigned.
- →Prioritizes, organizes and collects data for filing.
- →Uses Microsoft Outlook extensively for communicating with contractors, colleagues and other VA Staff.
- →Maintains adequate records for purchasing using credit card and the associated 2237's, adhere to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and provide budget updates to immediate supervisor when requested.
- →Prioritize and assign work orders to the appropriate Engineering Shops through the current work order system.
- →Maintains records for timekeeping, overtime/compensatory time, posts time daily and completes necessary corrections to time cards.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 0730-1600.
- →Subject to change based on needs of the facility.
