About the Role
This position is located within the office of Programs & Partnerships (P&P), within the Partnerships Division at the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). The incumbent reports to the Senior Program Director and works closely with the Division Coordinator in their efforts to provide national leadership and direction for the assigned national initiative(s).
What You'll Do
- →In this position, you will serve as Program Manager for Poetry Out Loud Initiatives.
- →Typical work assignments include: Managing Poetry Out Loud program operations, agreements, timelines, logistics, and deliverable tracking to meet program objectives.
- →Serving as primary liaison with state and jurisdictional arts agencies, Mid Atlantic Arts, and other partners; support participation and coordinate communications.
- →Planning and executing national and state Poetry Out Loud events, including the annual Finals, coordinating across NEA offices and partners.
- →Recruiting and cultivating relationships with speakers, judges, and talent for Finals and for educational and promotional content.
- →Developing program communications and collateral, including website updates and media support; serve as NEA spokesperson and conduct interviews with public affairs.
- →Designing and analyzing annual program survey with Research and Analysis; use findings to improve program quality and increase participation.
- →Preparing sophisticated statistical, narrative, and impact reports for agency leadership, funders, constituents, and partners; recommend improvements.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 You may be required to serve a probationary period.
- ✓Complete the initial online assessment and USAHire Assessment, if required Status Candidates must submit an SF-50 and recent appraisal.
- ✓Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).
- ✓Time-in-Grade must be met by the closing date of the announcement Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.
- ✓Education cannot be used to qualify for this position.
