About the Role
This position is located within the office of Programs & Partnerships (P&P) at the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). The incumbent reports to the Senior Program Director and works closely with Coordinator in their efforts to provide national leadership for NEA arts education initiatives by managing Arts Education Partnership and State Arts Agency Arts Education programs and supporting Grants for Arts Projects.
What You'll Do
- →In this position, you will serve as Program Manager for Arts Education Initiatives.
- →Typical work assignments include: Managing Arts Education Partnership and State Arts Agency Arts Education programs, refining plans, budgets, schedules, timelines, and deliverables with cooperators.
- →Drafting and managing interagency and cooperative agreements, including amendments, renewals, and competitions, coordinating required actions and approvals.
- →Reviewing and approving proposed contractors, panelists, consultants, and vendors; help shape subaward guidelines, eligibility, and final recommendations for approval.
- →Coordinating communications with Public and Congressional Affairs to develop messaging, promotional materials, and press products supporting arts education initiatives.
- →Partnering with Research and Analysis to develop and analyze surveys that identify improvements and increase program participation.
- →Leading arts education leadership initiatives, including convenings and webinars, and produce statistical and narrative reports for senior leadership and the Chair.
- →Processing Grants for Arts Projects applications through eligibility, panel, and National Council review; counsel applicants; prepare Council materials; issue actions in eGMS and REACH.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959 You may be required to serve a probationary period.
- ✓Complete the initial online assessment and USAHire Assessment, if required Status Candidates must submit an SF-50 and recent appraisal.
- ✓Status candidates must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at the next lower grade level).
- ✓Time-in-Grade must be met by the closing date of the announcement Only experience obtained by the closing date of this announcement will be considered.
- ✓Education cannot be used to qualify for this position.
