This position is located in the Executive Office of the President, Office of Management and Budget and serves as a senior examiner and expert for all matters pertaining to a specific area of assignment. The incumbent plans, conducts, and completes special analyses and studies to support budget, legislative, management, financial management, procurement, information resources and regulatory policymaking for major federal programs and issues.
What You'll Do
- →As a Program Examiner, GS-0301-9/11/12/13/14/15, your typical work assignments may include the following: Conducts comprehensive analyses in legislative, economic, management, financial, procurement, information resources, regulatory, and organizational domains, providing insights and recommendations to OMB officials on program planning.
- →Identifies critical issues and challenges, developing and evaluating significant policy matters while proposing and justifying alternative courses of action.
- →Reviews and synthesizes complex agency submissions, research, and related materials, serving as the OMB expert for designated program areas.
- →Oversees the budget formulation and execution process, advising on the preparation of formal documents such as Executive Orders and budget submissions.
- →Develops strategies to enhance management systems and program effectiveness, while assessing performance and reviewing major reorganization proposals for long-term planning.
