About the Role
About the Position: This position is located in the Family Medicine Department/Soldier Health Services at Guthrie Army Health Clinic, Fort Drum, NY. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Provide patient education regarding aspects such as medication regimens, wound/dressing care, durable medical equipment or other assistive devices, expectations for healing, etc.
- →Perform administrative assistant services to include maintenance of files, faxing of documents and booking of appointments.
- →Assist in coordinating the obtaining of services and/or resources needed by the patient or their family to enable adherence to prescribed care regimens.
- →Update medical records, including laboratory results, radiology reports, consultations, or medication regiments, and communicate data to the providers.
- →Obtain patient vital signs for assigned patients.
- →Maintain patient records during shift.
- →Prepare procedures for the physician.
- →Support nurse case management
