About the Position: Incumbent works under the general direction of the Commander (O-5) and Senior Manager (GS-14), Joint Military Postal Activity (JMPA), located in Chicago, IL. Incumbent serves as the JMPA-West Region Transportation and Operations subject matter expert with full responsibility for nine programs.
What You'll Do
- →Develop or update operational plans and procedures for both standard and emergency scenarios.
- →Inspect postal operations to ensure compliance with all established standards.
- →Monitor contractor performance and manage transportation contracts.
- →Supervise a diverse team of military and civilian staff, overseeing daily work, schedules, and assignments.
- →Execute a full range of personnel management functions, including performance evaluations, mentorship, interviewing, and hiring.
