You will serve as a POLICY AND STRATEGY in the Policy and Strategy Directorate of the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy Policy (DUSN-P).
What You'll Do
- →You will coordinate DON leadership participation in senior DoD executive forums and strategic meetings on policy, strategy, and resource investments led by the Secretary of Defense, Deputy Secretary of Defense, and military/civilian officials.
- →You will analyze DoD read-aheads with Service HQ staff to conduct prep sessions for the Under Secretary and senior DON officials.
- →You will coordinate DoD/DON strategy and policy proposals for Secretary approval and monitor national security policy development and implementation.
- →You will analyze and evaluate sensitive matters through special studies, ensuring maritime perspectives are fully integrated.
- →You will serve as the DON point of contact for policy and strategy staffing actions including I coordination on national and DoD policy, various reports, and proposed responses to Congress.
Requirements
- ✓In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: GS-11 Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related A transcript must be submitted with your application if qualifying using education.
