This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Strategy, Policy and Plans (PLCY), Counterterrorism and Homeland Threats (CTHT). Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is to analyze and evaluate major aspects of substantive, mission-oriented operations and translates that into programmatic and policy recommendations.
- →As a Policy Analyst, GS-0301-12/13, your typical work assignments may include the following: Establishing, revising, coordinating, implementing, and advising on program planning and policies across component lines within DHS.
- →Conducting and leading special studies, evaluations, and recommendations on new and proposed policy initiatives, DHS priorities, programs and operations at national and international levels.
- →Analyzing relevant laws, consulting with necessary sources, and private organizations.
- →Implementing policies, plans, and strategies to address national security/ homeland security issues.
