About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The incumbent will serve as a fully qualified accessions Physician Assistant capable of performing accession medical examinations and processes for a large range of federal applicants seeking employment with the Department of Defense (DoD) and other Federal organizations.
What You'll Do
- →Perform applicant physical examinations and assists with applicant medical processing at a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS).
- →Ensure the confidentiality of applicants is respected and that professionalism is maintained at all times in the medical department.
- →Conduct complete face-to-face medical histories on applicants who have completed the prescreen process and have been authorized to process.
- →Conduct medical procedures used to evaluate and determine military suitability.
- →Communicate changes to the medical staff for input into the Command's applicant database.
- →Prepare electronic and non-electronic documentation used to assess the applicant’s mental and physical fitness for service in the military.
- →Perform physical inspections of previously qualified applicants to document their status for meeting standards at the time of actual enlistment on active duty and at any other time as required.
- →Conduct post-processing inspections according to the medical fitness standards.
- →Perform a variety of professional direct health care duties within the field of general medicine.
