About the Position: The Physician Assistant position is located on Fort Lee, Virginia and serves in a Primary Health Care Clinic (e.g., Family Practice Clinic, Active Duty Clinic, Troop Medical Clinic, or Physical Exam Clinic) or in specialty clinics. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal Service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Performs a variety of professional direct health care clinical duties.
- →Assesses, plans, evaluates, and modifies the plan of acute and chronically ill patients.
- →Exercises autonomy in determining the necessary medical care.
- →Provides consultation, teaching, and coordination with patients regarding treatment and medical care.
- →Coordinates with patients regarding physicians' findings and diagnoses, laboratory results, follow-up treatment plan or the effect of medications prescribed in accordance with approved protocols.
- →Refers high-risk, unstable, or extremely complex patients to the physicians and emergency medicine.
- →Performs emergency care as appropriate.
