About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, at the US Naval Hospital on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Evaluate patients to determine current levels of function/dysfunction using standardized and clinically accepted measurement and evaluation tools, clinical observations, patient and staff interviews, and review of medical histories.
- →Plan and prepare written treatment programs based on evaluation findings and available patient data, setting specific time dependent goals based on patient's age, specific needs, anxieties, fears, and overall condition.
- →Apply the use of therapeutic modalities and new integrative techniques and technologies for the purpose of evaluation and ongoing treatment.
- →Instruct patient/family members on home program/provides education on diagnostic process/treatment.
- →Perform comprehensive neuromusculoskeletal evaluations for patients referred or direct access Physical Therapy.
- →Plan and administer pediatric physical therapy services to promote functional development, relieve pain, and prevent disability following disease, injury, or loss of body part.
- →These services are administered primarily in the child's natural environment including but not limited to: homes, schools, or childcare facilities.
