About the Role
About the Position: This position is located in the Early Intervention Services (EIS) Branch of the U.S. Naval Branch Health Clinic, Atsugi, Japan. Incumbent serves as a Physical Therapist for the Early Intervention Services (EIS) of the Educational and Developmental Intervention Services (EDIS) program, and provides EIS to infants/toddlers age's birth to three years and their families who are eligible for early intervention. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Provide Early Intervention Services (EIS) to infants/toddlers age’s birth to three years and their families who are eligible for early intervention under Department of Defense (DoD) criteria.
- →Analyze the local community to implement activities to identify children in the Area of Responsibility (AOR) who may require early intervention services.
- →Develop intervention strategies to each family (e.g., implement the use of assistive devices, orthotics/splints) to adapt to the environment to promote play and exploration and optimize the child’s functional development.
- →Collaborate in an interdisciplinary team, including family members or caretakers, for the development of an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP).
- →Serve as service coordinator for assigned families and as liaison to school-based or other community-based service delivery programs.
