This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of the Chief Security Officer (OCSO), National Security Services Division. The primary purpose of this position is to implement and enforce national TEMPEST directives; Serves as DHS's principal Certified TEMPEST TechnicalAuthority CTTA, implementing and enforcing TEMPEST directives across the enterprise. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.
What You'll Do
- →As a PHYSICAL SECURITY SPECIALIST, GS-0080-14, your typical work assignments may include the following: Certified TEMPEST Technical Authority, studying and controlling unintentional intelligence-bearing emissions from electronic equipment.
- →Reviews Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) design packages, construction drawings, and technical specifications to ensure compliance; coordinates resolutions of issues affecting TEMPST construction lifecycle.
- →Provides managerial oversight for TEMPEST training and qualifications for assigned personnel.
- →Participates in agency governance boards and modernization initiatives related to Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) lifecycle management and emanations security.
