What You'll Do
- →Manages legal systems, ESI, case data, and metrics to support programs and knowledge management for attorneys and senior leaders, including the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel for Audit and Contract Litigation.
- →Conducts specialized research and analysis on complex issues, prepares summaries and recommendations, drafts documents, and supports attorneys or officials with written synopses and briefings.
- →Manages logistical matters and other support for depositions, teleconferences and trials, coordinating with other Federal, State and local agencies, attorneys, witnesses and experts, and briefing staff attorneys on issues.
- →Provides developmental paralegal support in contract, admin, or civil litigation: reviews case materials, develops facts, organizes documentation, and drafts litigation support products for attorney review.
- →Conducts extensive, specialized, independent legal research of legal materials laws, legislative history, cases and orders (direct or primary sources), judicial and administrative precedential decisions, Federal regulations, and manuals.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S Citizen as verified through E-Verify Program Drug Testing: If you are given access to classified information, you will be subject to random drug testing.
- ✓If you are selected for a special sensitive position, you will be placed in a drug testing designated position.
- ✓You must pass a drug test before your assignment to such a position and you will be subject to random drug testing subsequent to your assignment.
- ✓Background Investigation: All selectees will be subject to a personnel security investigation which must be favorably adjudicated for occupancy of a sensitive position and/or access to classified information.
- ✓If you are selected for a critical/special sensitive position, you will be subject to a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
- ✓For a critical sensitive position, you must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility at the Top Secret level.
- ✓For a special sensitive position, you must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility at the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) level AND you will be subject to a random counterintelligence scope polygraph.
- ✓Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: For the GS-9: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement.
- ✓For the GS-11 : Three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement.
- ✓Equivalent combinations of successfully completed higher-level graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
- ✓There is no substitution of education for experience at the GS-12 level.
- ✓If you are using education to substitute for the specialized experience, you must submit transcripts at the time you apply.
- ✓To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S.
