About the Position: This position is with the 96th Medical Group at Eglin Air Force Base. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.
What You'll Do
- →Conducts evaluations and advanced therapy for complex inpatient/outpatient cases, specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), PTSD, and associated cognitive, physical, and psychosocial impairments.
- →Develops and modifies goal-oriented treatment plans using evidence-based modalities, cognitive rehab, and adaptive equipment to maximize patients' functional independence in daily living and work.
- →Collaborates with healthcare teams, military command, and the VA to coordinate comprehensive rehabilitation goals, community reintegration, and fitness-for-duty or return-to-duty plans.
- →Serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to develop clinical protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance with AOTA and The Joint Commission standards.
- →Provides clinical oversight and feedback to Occupational Therapy Assistants (OTAs) and acts as a clinical educator for students, patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- →Leads quality improvement initiatives, integrates emerging research/technologies into practice, and assists with administrative management, resource coordination, and budgeting.
