What You'll Do
- →Serves as Occupational Therapist at a Medical Referral Center providing inpatient and outpatient services to Federal prisoners referred by physicians, mid-level practitioners or dentists.
- →Functions autonomously in the specialty area, but will also be a member of a rehabilitation team providing the latest evidence-based care to a diverse patient population in this unique setting.
- →Provides occupational therapy services to patients who have impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical, functional and/or health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes.
- →Establishes a plan of care and manage the needs of the patient based on examination, evaluation, diagnosis, prognosis, goals, and outcomes of planned interventions of identified impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions.
- →Collaborates with multiple medical, mental health, and correctional staff to provide comprehensive care to federal inmates.
- →Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution.
- →The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
Requirements
- ✓Career Transition Programs (CTAP or ICTAP): These programs apply to Federal and/or DOJ employees who meet the definition of surplus or displaced from a position in the competitive service.

- ✓Meet CTAP or ICTAP eligibility criteria; 2.
- ✓Be rated well-qualified for the position, scoring at least half of the total possible points for the vacancy KSAs or competencies; and 3.
- ✓Submit the appropriate documentation to support your CTAP or ICTAP eligibility: A copy of the agency notice (i.e., separation notice or agency RIF letter), Most recent performance appraisal, and Most recent SF-50 showing current/former position, grade, promotion potential, and duty location.
