About the Role
About the Position: You will serve as the Lead Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) and coordinator for the National Occupational Health Center (NOHC) that serves civilian and military personnel assigned to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, (USACE), and other federal agency customers through interagency agreements.
What You'll Do
- →Coordinate and monitor annual medical surveillance exams.
- →Oversee and direct a comprehensive Occupational Health Program.
- →Conduct epidemiological investigations of disease or illness of particular relevance to the Occupational Health Program.
- →Implement intervention and/or new policies dependent on results of investigative findings.
- →Research, prepare and deliver written presentations, lectures, or briefings on occupational health and safety topics.
- →Provide technical expertise in development of new regulations, protocol and policy in the occupational health program.
- →Interpret regulations and directives to develop supplemental health policies.
- →Provide consultation and written reports in regards to occupational health related programs.
- →Provide technical supervision, guidance and consultation on proper technique and protocol for performing ergonomic surveys, audiometric tests, noise surveys and other health tests and screenings.
- →Coordinate nursing support for a large organization.
- →Counsel employees on subjects such as abnormal examination findings, general health and fitness, job limitations, emotional problems and/or special require examinations.
- →Serve as a member of safety and health related committees.
- →Evaluate the operations of a Regional Occupational Health Clinic (ROHC).
- →Assure the uniform application of all administrative and technical operating policies and procedures within a Regional Occupational Health Clinic.
