About the Role
The Nurse Manager Functions as a clinical expert and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components. Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
What You'll Do
- →The Nurse Manager (NM) serves as the first-line supervisory authority and is responsible and accountable for the 24/7 management and oversight of the assigned Primary Care unit.
- →The NM provides leadership, guidance, and oversight to ensure safe, high-quality, patient-centered care.
- →Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The Nurse Manager (NM) engages in professional organizations to enhance leadership and career growth Contributes to the development of care delivery models and environmental design, ensuring evidence -based, accessible, affordable, equitable patient care.
- →Maintains knowledge and ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards, directives, policies, and standard operating procedures (SOP).
- →Designated first line supervisory authority and is responsible and accountable for the operation of their assigned units provides coverage for Nurse Case Manager. serves as the supervisory authority for assigned nursing staff, ensuring compliance with all policies, standards, and performance expectations.
- →Executes position responsibilities that demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches to management of complex client care.

Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.
