This Nurse Manager position is in Nursing, Mental Health service at the VA WRJ Healthcare System located at VAMC & RO White River Junction, VT location. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week.
What You'll Do
- →Included but not limited to: Functions as a clinical expert and is responsible and accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing or supervising direct patient care.
- →Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates delivery of care based on age specific components.
- →Assumes responsibility for the coordination of care focused on patient education, self-management, and customer satisfaction throughout the continuum of care.
- →Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team and creating innovative process improvement initiatives.
- →They will be responsible for 24/7 oversight of inpatient and outpatient mental health nursing.
- →Notifications: This is NOT a Bargaining Unit position.
- →This position is in the Excepted Service.
- →Current and former Federal employees must submit copies of their most recent SF-50, (Notice of Personnel Action).
- →The SF-50 must identify the position title, series, grade, step, tenure and type of service (Competitive or Excepted).
- →In some cases, more than one SF-50 may be required to show a higher grade previously held.
- →Work Schedule: Monday through Friday.
- →No weekends or holidays.
- →Compressed/Flexible: May Be Authorized Telework: Not Available Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship; non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.

- ✓Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).
