This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as the education developer/coordinator and training instructor for courses as assigned in support of the Preventive Medicine Branch and Division of Public Health Services located at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
What You'll Do
- →Plans and develops course materials and presents lectures, demonstrations, and practical exercises in the area of Public Health and Public Health Nursing to provide knowledge and skills for Army Medical Department Officers.
- →Updates and rewrites lesson plans as required by changes in doctrine and curriculum development.
- →Research current scientific literature to ensure that all instructional materials are up to date and accurate.
- →Collaborates with both civilian and military subject matter experts in the Public Health, Infectious Disease, Laboratory Science, and Infection Control to develop and maintain current training programs and courses.
- →Develops and revises educational courses, addressing disease control and prevention and health and wellness programs to ensure the educational needs of all levels of students are met.
