About the Role
About the Position: This position is located at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Department of Surgery, Cardiothoracic Surgery. Outpatient surgical clinic hours 0700-1530. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
What You'll Do
- →Assist in operative scheduling and re-scheduling for patients and surgeons.
- →Provide patient counseling and care coordination for safe and successful navigation of the pre- and post-operative pathways.
- →Provide care coordination for non-routine outpatient appointments to include appointment scheduling and associated clinical study coordination.
- →Manage routine clinical and administrative aspects of the Patient Education Program.
- →Initiate advanced emergency response independently until Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) direction is available.
- →Perform basic cardiac life support code team management until the Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) arrives.
