About the Role
About the Position: This position is located in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Federal employees in Alaska are currently entitled to receive a 1.49% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting for urgent or emergent care.
- →Teach, onboard, and mentor professional and paraprofessional nursing staff, assisting with complex nursing and diagnostic procedures.
- →Interview and take medical histories, to acquire medically necessary information to assess physical and mental status of patient.
- →Serve as a resource person for nurses and other health care providers to consult when particularly difficult problems in the care of patients arise.
- →Work as part of a team in the Emergency Department and independently manages basic life support needs and stabilizes patients until the physician or provider is available.
