About the Role
The position is established as an interdisciplinary position. Employee serves as a specialist/integrator in the implementation and ongoing multi-service software applications used in the hospital and clinic setting for the Gallup Indian Medical Center and Tohatchi Health Center. Provides specialized nursing care to patients with injuries, illnesses or attitudes. A REAL ID will be required beginning May 7, 2025, in accordance with 6 C.F.R. 37.5 (2021).

- →Total Compensation Package - Check out IHS's outstanding total compensation package for this job: Registered Nurse Total Compensation | Pay (ihs.gov) Responsible for the implementation and support of multi-service software packages that automate the capture of clinical encounter information and its subsequent retrieval.
- →The application coordinator manages the customization of the site parameters, table maintenance, technical settings and addresses integration issues with other software packages.
- →Analyzes and evaluates processes related to information flow.
- →Serves as liaison between service lines, clinics and departments concerning these processes, clinical, business and administrative.
- →Acquires a comprehensive knowledge of the software involved to determine what are procedural issues versus systems/application deficiencies.
- →Establishes effective Interpersonal relationships with all levels of medical center personnel.
- →Promotes an atmosphere that encourages enthusiasm and user participation in clinical computing.
- →Creates a positive environment for reporting application and/or system deficiencies and suggestions for system improvements and enhanced functionality.
- →Performs administrative, consultative, or staff advisory work concerning the administration of a nursing program for hospital, clinic, or other medical care facility.
- →Serves as role model and teacher for experienced and fully trained nurses in providing care to patients assigned because of their special needs, for example, ulcer patients who are not responding to usual treatment.
