About the Role

This position is located in a USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service state, area, or field office within Iowa. The incumbent serves as the Easement Coordinator for the Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP), Grasslands Reserve Program (GRP), Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP) for Agricultural Land Easement (ALE) and Wetland Reserve Easement (WRE), and Emergency Watershed Protection-Floodplain Easements Program (EWP-FPE). Assists with the implementation of agency easement programs.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinates easement program restoration and stewardship activities.
  • Provides leadership in statewide quality assurance activities related to NRCS programs with emphasis to easement programs.
  • Provides leadership and tracking of easement program monitoring, violations, compatible use agreements, management plans, obligations and fund integrity.
  • Manages contracts for outside services to determine appropriate easement compensation rates and develops corresponding statewide Geographical Area Rate Caps.
  • Maintains current understanding and knowledge of federal, state and local laws which may affect assigned program implementation or agency mission.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Foreign Education: You must submit verification that education completed in a foreign institution, was recognized by an accreditation body accepted by the U.S.
  • Department of Education.
  • You must include a Certificate of Foreign Equivalency with your transcript.

  • Your transcripts must be in English or include an English translation.
