This position is located at Fort Bliss, Texas. Child and Youth Services (CYS) Employee Childcare Fee: *CYS Regular and FLEX employees (working a minimum of 15 hours) First Child: 100% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Second and Subsequent Child: 25% childcare fee discount (all CYS employees) Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid.
What You'll Do
- →Ensures the safety and well-being of children, youth and adults being transported to and from the program and on field trips.
- →Knowledge of how to properly load and unload passengers.
- →Skill in selecting the shortest and safest route.
- →Ensures children and youth know how to safely evacuate the bus.
- →Practices bus evacuation following prescribed procedures with children and youth on a monthly basis.
- →Knowledge of height, weight, width, and length of passenger shuttle vans, and cargo vans in order to judge overhead and side clearances, turning radius and braking distance.
- →Work requires walking, lifting and carrying items weighing 40 pounds or less, driving, bending and stooping.
- →Drives outside in all kinds of weather in a controlled traffic environment throughout a military installation.
- →Arranges for and ensures completion of routine maintenance of bus (e.g., oil change) transporting the bus to and from maintenance and/or repair facilities.
