The employee will serve as a Mobile Equipment Servicer for the Facilities Management Service at the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, in Ann Arbor, MI under the supervision of the Grounds and Transportation Supervisor. The position has the primary duties of servicing automotive and mobile equipment.
What You'll Do
- →Duties include, but may not be limited to the following: Performs preventative maintenance on all vehicles and equipment.
- →Repairs tube and tubeless tires with plugger or hot or cold patch of all sizes.
- →Dispenses gasoline, checks fluid levels and tire pressures, inflates tires, washes cars, lubricates vehicles, installs simple accessory items and changes and repairs tires and tubes.
- →Installs alcohol in air systems, drains moisture from air tanks, changes oil and filters on hydraulic systems.
- →Refers any observed need for major repairs to an automotive mechanic or other appropriate worker.
- →Plans and accomplishes a variety of complex work assignments.
- →Adjusts work operations and schedules to meet emergencies or changing programs.
- →Reports safety hazards to supervisor promptly, correcting them where possible.
- →Performs other related duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00 am - 2:30 pm Recruitment & Relocation Incentives: Not authorized.
