The primary purpose of this position as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer is to serve as the Senior ART/Mission Support Group Commander at a tenant location, responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and controlling the activities and operations of the Mission Support Group.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) Officer to serve as the Senior ART/Mission Support Group Commander at a tenant location, responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, directing, and controlling the activities and operations of the Mission Support Group.
- →Plans, directs, organizes, and manages the Mission Support Group program including such areas as logistics planning and readiness, security forces, civil engineering, communications, services, and personnel.
- →Incumbent manages a limited number of support functions or does not have the full complement of base support services as these services are provided by the host activity.
- →Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- →Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors.
- →Advises staff regarding policies, procedures, and directives of higher-level management or headquarters.
- →Represents the wing with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- →Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with other group commanders, representatives and senior staff at Numbered Air Force, HQ AFRC, and gaining MAJCOMs.
- →Accomplishes special staff studies and projects resulting from reorganizations, regulatory changes, new technology, mission changes, etc Ensures documentation prepared to support actions is proper and complete.
- →Reviews developmental needs of subordinate supervisors and non-supervisory employees and makes decisions on non-routine, costly or controversial training needs and/or requests for unit employees.
