About the Position: This position is with Madigan Army Medical Center, Directorate of Clinical Support, Department of Pathology & Area Laboratory Services located in Tacoma, WA. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Perform waived-complexity testing and phlebotomy, primarily in the Okubo Soldier Centered Medical Home Laboratory on JBLM, in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures and Policies.
- →Verify correct instrument operation using established procedures and quality control checks.
- →Operate laboratory computer system which includes placing orders, logging samples, and entering test results.
- →Determine appropriateness of incoming specimens (i.e. timing of specimen collection, potential interference, proper specimen type, etc.).
- →Prepare specimens for shipment to the Madigan Main Laboratory.
