About the Role
About the Position: The Medical Technician uses judgment and initiative to plan and carry out successive steps of work assignments in accordance with established protocols,previous training, or accepted laboratory practices. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Greet and verify patient screening information and ensure patient understanding of instructions.
- →Label specimens, annotating time of collection, ensuring proper collection day and initialing all tubes collected.
- →Maintain a clean and sanitary drawing area, restocks supplies as needed and maintain security of controlled items such as needles and syringes.
- →Review requests for lab tests for accuracy prior to specimen procurement.
- →Collect specimens into appropriate anticoagulant, preservative or clot tubes as required by test requested.
