About the Position: These positions serve as a Certified Medical Assistant in a Medical Treatment Facility. This position is responsible for clinical and administrative tasks to support doctors, nurses, and patients by assisting with some patient care and office administration. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Complete screening of patients for Privilege Providers to include recording chief complaint, blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature, height, weight, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and other moderately complex tests.
- →Follow standing orders for dose adjustment of immunization in accordance with Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), Center for Disease Control (CDC), and other applicable guidelines.
- →Instruct patients and families on various subjects, such as the proper procedure or following receipt of immunization in accordance with established protocols.
- →Obtain urine samples, performs urine dipstick, finger sticks for blood glucose, inputs lab requests in the appropriate medical database system.
- →Assist providers with in-clinic procedures, prepares and positions patient, prepares instruments and supplies, hands supplies to provider and cleans instruments according to instructions for use.
- →Receive telephone calls, patients, and visitors to the medical facility to determine the nature of the call or visit.
- →Schedule appointments with the appropriate clinic and health care provider.
