About the Position: This position is located at Fort Bragg, Cumberland, North Carolina. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Assign specific codes to medical records, sequence and determine codes to accurately reflect the resources and procedures used in the care of the patients.
- →Assure accurate coding of diseases, injuries, manifestations, operations, and nonsurgical procedures.
- →Perform quantitative analysis and check medical record for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- →Perform limited utilization review of inpatient records to assure that the diagnosis responsible for the length of stay is appropriately identified.
- →Correlate operation codes with diagnosis codes to ensure the most descriptive code is selected when more than one anatomical location is involved.
