The incumbent serves as Deputy Chief (Outpatient) of the Business Office for the Washington DC VA Medical Center (DCVAMC). Incumbent reports directly to the Business Office Chief, providing leadership and managerial support for substantial operations to fulfill VA mission. The incumbent provides a highlevel of leadership support to Business Office senior leadership and clinical services.
What You'll Do
- →Coordinate and support mechanisms for successful data collection and entry.
- →Ensure accurate, timely and consistent data is entered into Medical Center databases.
- →Plan, develop and execution of agency programs.
- →Evaluate, planning and analytical processes Responsible for producing executive reports and analyzing dashboards for effective service wide improvement.
- →Coordinate the collection of data concerning patient care activities.
- →Responsible for oversight of effective program management in Call Center Operations and clinic operations.
- →Ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and community stake holders.
- →Maintain contact with clinical personnel and other staff in various clinic settings to resolve delays.
- →Write and update facility level policies that may be applicable to new VHA directives.
- →Participate in investigating patient complaints on eligibility issues, transportation and inpatient operations, clinic operations.
- →Prepare executive letters, memorandums and other written communication.
- →Review draft correspondence in response to inquiries from Veterans, Congressman, Senators.
- →Veteran Services Representatives and other inquiries.
- →Review action required report daily and manage elevated errors that need correction.
Requirements
