The position is responsible for assigning, directing and reviewing the work of subordinates and evaluating work performance; planning, scheduling and coordinating work operations; and solving problems related to the work performed by the unit. The incumbent also performs nonsupervisory tasks in support of the mission.
What You'll Do
- →The tour of duty for this position is 9:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.
- →This position is emergency essential - depending on the type of emergency the employee may be required to report to work during emergency situations.
- →Note: This position requires a valid D.C. or State driver's license and a Certificate as a Powered Industrial Truck Operator to operate the Forklift in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.178 (l) (6).
- →Duties include, but are not limited to: Perform administrative and technical supervisory functions for subordinates.
- →Assign duties and evaluate performance.
- →Manage the organizational unit's budget and workload and develop performance requirements for subordinates and ensure a mutual understanding of the performance standards.
- →Resolve complaints and grievances.
- →Provide employee skills enrichment through job related coaching, mentoring and training.
- →The incumbent will foster a culture of learning, sharing, cooperation and teamwork that improves efficiency and effectiveness throughout the organization.
- →Check work in progress and check for compliance with instruction on work sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines.
- →Order and purchase equipment and furniture for special functions set-ups.
- →Responsible for maintenance, storage and repair of furniture and equipment.
- →Purchase necessary inside equipment, such as chairs, tables, easels, podiums, coat racks, etc. and equipment for outside maintenance, such as power washers, bobcats, leaf blowers, etc.
- →Set up facilities for special functions.
Requirements
- ✓This position requires: A valid D.C. or State driver's license. and A Certificate as a Powered Industrial Truck Operator to operate the Forklift in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.178 (l) (6).
