About the Role

This position is located on a Forest Service Civilian Conservation Center. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating and implementing the Career Preparation Period (CPP) plan; providing guidance and instruction to new students during their orientation period and coordinating vocational exploration and administering the TABE testing for the center. See Additional Information section for who to contact about the duties of this position.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate and implement the Career Preparation Period (CPP) plan.
  • Provide guidance and instruction to new students during their orientation period.
  • Coordinate vocational exploration and administer the Testing of Adult Basic Education (TABE) for the center.
  • Promote the development of positive social skills among students through modeling appropriate behavior, positive intervention, and positively intervening and teaching appropriate employability skills for workplace success.
  • Assist primary instructors and plan, organize and conduct limited instruction.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S.
  • Citizen or National.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
  • Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
