About the Role
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the Department of Defense Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The MEPS play a vital role in maintaining the nation's military might by ensuring that each new member of the Armed Forces meets the high mental, moral & medical standards required by the DoD and military services. This will be filled on a permanent basis.
What You'll Do
- →Assist examining Medical Officer with applicant examination and identification of disqualifying enlistment/retention factors and/or determination of applicant’s fitness for military duty.
- →Perform Medical Technician duties (i.e., collect and process medical specimens, perform laboratory testing, monitor and stock medical supplies, etc.).
- →Ensure proper maintenance of medical testing/evaluative equipment.
- →Provide technical guidance to subordinates.
- →Lead Medical Exam Function team.
- →Verify applicants’ identity using previously captured biometrics (i.e., digital fingerprints and photographs).
