The Radiology Department is currently seeking a Lead Ultrasound Technician to add to their team. The incumbent will be responsible for leading the technical services provided by the Ultrasound section in the Diagnostic Radiology Department. What You'll Do
- →Distributing and balancing the workload among employees in accordance with established work flow or job specialization, assuring timely accomplishment of the assigned workload, and assuring that each employee has enough work to keep busy.
- →Instructing employees in specific tasks and job techniques and making available written instructions, reference materials and supplies.
- →Amending or rejecting work not meeting established standards, referring to the supervisor questions or matters not covered by standards and problems in meeting performance standards.
- →Reviewing provider requests for ultrasound for complete information on the examinations requested, resolves most discrepancies independently or refers questions to radiologist(s).
- →Providing a preliminary written summary and ability to replicate and demonstrate to staff radiologist or the requesting clinician findings on the ultrasonic images.
- →Independently performs standard as well as specialized diagnostic and vascular ultrasound procedures using techniques in accordance with established protocols and in coordination with radiologists and referring providers.
