About the Role
Join the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Shared Service Center! We're looking for talented professionals to help deliver solutions that support federal agencies nationwide. As a GS-0343-14 Lead HR Specialist (Employee Benefits) you will lead a team, provide expert guidance on federal benefits, oversee retirement and insurance programs, manage HR projects, and resolve complex benefits and policy issues.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as Team Lead and subject matter expert on federal employee benefits, providing authoritative guidance on complex and sensitive HR issues.
- →Leads, coaches, and assigns work to a team; monitors performance, ensures workload balance, and facilitates training and development.
- →Oversees benefits programs including health and life insurance, retirement, and workers' compensation, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
- →Provides retirement and separation counseling expertise, resolving complex eligibility, annuity, and benefits issues for employees and agencies.
- →Manages and leads HR projects, including planning, execution, resource coordination, and evaluation of deliverables and outcomes.
- →Conducts quality assurance reviews, audits, and data analysis to improve program effectiveness and ensure accurate benefits administration.
- →Engages in business development, stakeholder consultation, and interagency coordination to expand HR services and improve program delivery.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- ✓Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation.
- ✓May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
