What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is: as an Air Reserve Technician (ART), to serve as a work leader for an aircrew of flight services technicians when in-flight, and as such, to manage and oversee the employees and planned services.
- →In addition, the incumbent administers, schedules, and conducts flight and ground training to develop, upgrade, and evaluate the skills off light services technicians; and performs aircrew flight services duties for the safety and comfort of passengers during aircraft operations.
- →This position is responsible for the overall planning, coordinating and management of services during an assigned mission.
- →DUTIES: DUTY 1: Functions as a lead over flight attendants during execution of in-flight missions and as such, as an extension of the Flight Services Technician supervisor.
- →Directs and monitors flight services support, evaluating effectiveness of support as an agent for the ground supervisor and unit commander.
- →Distributes assignments/tasks, monitors activities, reviews work and provides instruction and training to flight services crew members on a range of operating and administrative issues.
- →DUTY 2: Develops and provides flight attendant upgrade, continuation and proficiency training/instruction to Reserve aircrew members and ART personnel.
- →DUTY 3: Conducts preflight mission planning/coordination.
- →DUTY 4: Accomplishes preflight preparations and inspections.
- →Purchases required foodstuffs and supplies to serve meals and beverages.
- →Prepares, cooks, portions, and packages foods for meals.
- →Ensures rotation of food inventories maintained in flight-line kitchen to prevent spoilage and stores food items in accordance with inventory and sanitation requirements.
- →DUTY 5: Provides for passenger safety and comfort during aircraft operations and performs limited aspects of communications systems operation.
- →Prepares and checks forms, records and receipts and performs other administrative work in support of the organization.
