What You'll Do
- →Serving as a Lead Facilities Operations Specialist GS-1640-13 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission.
- →This position is located in the Office of the Associate Director for Training Ops (TOPS), Training Management Operations Directorate (TMO), Office of Charleston Operations (CHS), Charleston Administration Division (CHA).
- →The primary purpose of this position is serve as a team leader providing direction, planning, oversight and coordination of all facilities maintenance, repair, and construction to support law enforcement training programs at the FLETC.
- →Typical duties include: Coordinating facilities maintenance, repair, and construction activities by guiding the facilities team in problem-solving, managing workloads, and ensuring timely completion of assignments and projects.
- →Developing plans and detailed specifications for facility repairs, improvements, renovations, and construction projects, and ensuring compliance with all applicable policies and requirements.
- →Advising management on building maintenance programs, policies, and operations, including conducting periodic inspections, preparing cost estimates, and setting budget priorities for repairs and improvements.
- →Planning and administering comprehensive building and grounds maintenance programs, including occupant safety, comfort, and services such as HVAC, plumbing, parking, painting, and life safety.
- →Participating in meetings with management officials to discuss facility changes, budget projections, equipment needs, and preparing statements of work for maintenance and construction projects.
