What You'll Do
- →Serving as a Law Enforcement Specialist (Technical Investigations Instructor) GS-1801-13 makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) team and mission.
- →This position is located in the Cyber Division (CYD), Technical Training Operations (TTO) Directorate under the Office of the Associate Director for Training Operations (TOPS) and located in Glynco, Georgia.
- →The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Law Enforcement Specialist (Technical Investigations Instructor) responsible as a senior-level instructor and leader involved in planning and conducting classroom, laboratory, and/or field instruction sessions as part of the CYD training program.
- →Typical duties include: Serving as a senior instructor, subject-matter expert, and program/course developer in the assigned technology course areas of law enforcement.
- →Conducting training in areas such as, but not limited to the following topical areas: Covert Electronic Surveillance Program, Covert Electronic Tracking Program, Internet Protocol Camera Program, Mobile Device Investigations Program, JTag-Chip-off, Wi-Fi Tools for Analysis and Geolocation.
- →Providing oversight concerning the conduct of training classes for personnel and plans.
- →Conducting advanced export training (off site) at other Federal, State and municipal facilities around the country and international sites on an as-needed basis.
- →Using judgment to adjust to immediate training needs such as repeating material, slowing or increasing the pace of the class, or addressing individual learning needs.
- →Using life experiences from law enforcement to enhance course content and respond to student questions.
- →Participating in the analytical processes involved in the development and delivery of training courses.
