Joining the Secret Service, Office of Training, James J Rowley Training Center will allow you to provide training to criminal investigators and law enforcement officers within the Secret Service. For definitions of terms found in this announcement, please click here.
What You'll Do
- →The selectee will serve as a Law Enforcement Specialist (Instructor) in the Office of Training, James J Rowley Training Center.
- →Typical work assignments include: Using a variety of advanced instructional methods (e.g., seminars, multimedia instructions, and demonstration) to instruct students in basic to advanced techniques in a law enforcement specialty area.
- →Designing, developing, and delivering instructional materials intended for practical application such as; lesson plans, support materials, practical exercises development, and use of training areas.
- →Researching, investigating, and analyzing a variety of performance-based data involving current employees and training students and implementing up-to-date law enforcement-based training to ensure that a professional training program is maintained.
- →Instructing criminal investigators in basic to advanced techniques involving an area of law enforcement that is complex, constantly changing and controversial.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship is required.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service If selected for this position, you will be required to: Obtain and maintain a Top Secret Tier 5 clearance.

- ✓Must be able to obtain and maintain Training Instructor Certification within 12 months of appointment.
