About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Joint Interagency Task Force South, Plans & Policy, J5. What You'll Do
- →Plan, develop, staff and implement operational and tactical policy and required resources to execute the JIATF South Mission.
- →Serve as a subject matter expert for a full range of concepts, principles and practices and the development of Counter Narco-Terrorism (CNT) plans and policies.
- →Develop new or modified approaches and procedures in direct support of the goals and objectives of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, USIC Interdiction Planning Guidance and USSOUTHCOM counterdrug directives.
- →Research, analyze, and provide recommendations regarding objectives and projected mission requirements, resources and measures of effectiveness and performance to the Director.
- →Participate in cross-command working groups for the conceptual plan, design, coordination, preparation and maintenance of national and theater level counterdrug strategies and plans.
- →Routinely work and collaborate with senior members of the CBP, DEA, FBI, U.S.
- →Coast Guard and the Department of the State to accomplish the mission.
