This position is located in the Office of Retailer Operations and Compliance. This position serves as a Case Manager Investigator in the Federal Nutrition Assistance Program of the Food and Nutrition Administration.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as the Case Manager Investigator which is responsible for managing the necessary interactions between multiple senior officials and investigative staff.
- →Researches, plans and independently conducts, leads or manages undercover investigations relating to alleged fraudulent violations of Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) rules, committed either by authorized retailers or store personnel.
- →Plans, develops, and modifies investigative policies, procedures, programs, standards, and techniques for the Branch with the approval of senior leadership to increase effectiveness and efficiencies.
- →Consult with the Supervisory Investigator, Deputy Administrator, Senior Technical Advisors, Division Directors and Branch/Section Chiefs, law enforcement, attorneys, suspected violators, informants on a regular basis to conduct or coordinate work.
- →Serve as a liaison with other units within USDA and FNA as well as other agencies at the Federal State and local levels.
- →Analyzes and proposes improvements or changes in the area of Program Operations and evaluates the effectiveness of changes.
