About the Role

What You'll Do
- →The selectee will serve as an Investigator (Background) in the Office of Field Operations.
- →Typical work assignments include: Conducting pre-employment security interviews, retrieving records, conducting and preparing reports of investigations in compliance with federal laws and regulations.
- →Completing record searches at law enforcement agencies, courthouses, and mental health, financial and educational institutions.
- →Conducting face-to-face and/or telephonic security interviews with applicants and other references.
- →Compiling data and ensuring reporting is clear and concise in required reporting format.

- →This Investigator (Background) position starts at a salary of $90,925.00, GS -13 step 1, with potential to $118,204.00 GS-13 step 10.
Requirements
- ✓Citizenship is required.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- ✓If selected for this position, you will be required to: Obtain and maintain a Top Secret Tier 5 clearance.
