The primary purpose of the Licensed Practical Nurse is to perform assigned duties in a manner that promotes quality health care, positive customer service and the maintenance of an environment committed to serving the veteran.

- →Completes routine daily assignments in a timely manner and obtains appropriate supplies and equipment for patient care delivery.
- →Recognizes unusual circumstances and seeks assistance, as appropriate.
- →Assists with appropriate actions in emergency situations.
- →Assists with simple diagnostic measures, including collection of urine and stool specimens, and collecting and/or testing any other specimens as instructed.
- →Recognizes and reports all pertinent information regarding patients' condition and the environment to the registered nurse in a timely manner.
- →Takes initiative to maintain a safe, therapeutic and clean environment.
- →Adheres to safety and health standards, regulations, privacy policy and work practices when providing patient care, to ensure safety of patients, staff, visitors and self.
- →Seeks direction as needed.
- →Demonstrated basic effective communication techniques with patient/families and personnel.
- →Accurately follows directions given by the registered nurse related to assignment both on a daily basis and in a timely manner.

Requirements
- ✓You must be a U.S.
