This vacancy is for an Intergovernmental Affairs Specialist (Tribal) position in the Office of Congressional and Intergovernmental Affairs located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. The Census Bureau is accessible from the Metro Rail Green Line - Suitland Station.
What You'll Do
- →Serve as an OCIA intergovernmental affairs specialist to build and manage relationships across tribal, federal, state, and local governments while respecting jurisdictional boundaries and political sensitivity.
- →Assist in the preparation of Bureau staff for participation in hearings, briefings and presentations before congress, state, local government officials, and their intergovernmental associations regarding tribal matters.
- →Develop and implement projects designed to increase the awareness of tribal leaders, and other intergovernmental officials regarding the utility of census data.
